Fluid Fusion is searching for a Sales Development Manager on behalf of a well-established, award-winning wine business. Armed with a dynamic and celebrated portfolio of wines, the successful candidate will develop and manage further success in the Cumbrian On Trade sector, working across bars, hotels, and restaurants.

 

This role reports to the Head of Sales and is responsible for the sales, distribution, and promotion of brands within the region. Building company profitability through direct sales of the portfolio to new and existing customers, this role will have full responsibility for sales and profitable growth.

 

The Sales Development Manager will employ a consultative approach to partner with key customers for mutual benefit and will provide a broad range of training and education to raise awareness of the extensive wine portfolio. Additionally, the role will collaborate closely across all internal functions, including Brand Marketing, Customer Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain.

 

Skills and experience required

 

Essential:

· Proven experience in sales, ideally within the on-trade or hospitality sector

· Strong wine knowledge and ability to confidently present and recommend wines

· Excellent relationship-building and communication skills

· Strong negotiation ability and commercial awareness

· High level of organisation and Excel proficiency

· Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the region

 

Desirable:

· Experience in the wine or drinks industry

· WSET qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
