Our client is an iconic spirits company selling premium products to the On Trade, Off Trade and wholesale channels in the UK. This progressive and energetic business is renowned for its high quality products, development opportunities and exciting working environment.

In order to drive commercial success and consumer engagement in Scotland and Northern Ireland we require a Country Manager/Commercial Manager to drive performance through direct account development of key customers, people management and commercial planning.

Ideally based in or closely accessible to the Central belt Scotland, candidates will demonstrate strong exposure to BWS sales in the On or Off Trade sectors. You will currently negotiate directly with buying teams, manage the P+L and forecasting, developing strong relationships and provide a good understanding of account management and sales development.

In addition people management experience would be advantageous as you will manage a small team of sales & marketing professionals. Knowledge of the Scottish On/Off Trade landscape is highly preferable, experience in Northern Ireland is an advantage but not essential.

Your personal skills will include tenacity, energy and entrepreneurialism together with a broad commercial understanding of sales practices. Educated to degree level, candidates will also demonstrate good leadership skills and a high level of gravitas for this position. Candidates will have high level of drive for premium brands and a passion to achieve exceptional results across a wide range of diverse customers.

Essential Criteria:
– Strong sales exposure to working with wine, spirits, cider or beer
– A dynamic and capable approach with scope for strong future progression.
– People management skills or strong potential to step into people management
– Good knowledge of the on-trade sector- Retail, Route to Market, Independents etc…
– Demonstrable evidence of strong negotiation, strategic development, commercial and planning skills.
– Based in Scotland or readily accessible to the central belt region
