Our client is an established premium bar group with several fantastic outlets in prime locations across the Midlands and North of England. With an ambition to lead the industry, to make new additions to their estate and to further develop the commercial and operational success of their venues they are looking for a dynamic and passionate Head of Hospitality Operations to assume overall responsibility for leading the success and growth of their bars.
Directly and via your team of General Managers and Assistant General Managers you will develop and implement an expansive training program, ensure compliance with the highest company standards in all areas of operations, including customer relations, inventory management, team management, recruiting and retaining team members, financial accountability and ensuring the highest quality services are delivered to each customer.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a business plan to optimise our current and future bar estate, identifying profitable and strategically aligned opportunities.
- Lead a dynamic and passionate team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- You will champion the values of the business, inspiring those around you and setting a glowing example of behaviours for them to follow.
- Closely monitor your team’s performance to gain insight, reward strong performance, provide constructive feedback, and nurture talent.
- You will oversee all aspects of commercial, financial, recruitment, operational and administration tasks, extensively collaborating with the central HR and Finance functions.
- You’ll establish strong relationships with stakeholders across your venues.
- As a natural leader, you will enthuse your team, supporting and delegating to them with a shared ambition to meet and exceed targets.
- Closely monitor customer feedback to assure your team is always adapting to maintain high standards and promptly address any shortcomings.
Skills and experience requirements
- Extensive experience in multi-site premium hospitality management, where exemplary service and management standards are a prerequisite.
- You will be highly commercially savvy with well-developed business acumen, experience of holding full P & L accountability and the ability to contribute within a multi-disciplinary leadership team.
- Guest experience led, you will be a pragmatic, approachable and open-minded leader who has operated in bars (or other hospitality areas such as restaurants or hotels) at a senior level with a deep and broad understanding of all elements of bar/restaurant management from the ground up.
- You will be competent and comfortable with the administration of Human Resources policies and UK employment laws and will hold certifications as required to comply with government regulations and health codes including food safety, alcohol awareness, alcohol certification etc.
- You will be passionate about training and developing your teams, empowering them while striving for a commercial edge.
- Experience in both branded and independent operations in a quality-driven, forward-thinking environment would be an advantage.
