The Company

Our client is the proud owner of a leading premium spirit brand, this business has grown from strength to strength both in the UK and globally to become the true connoisseur’s choice within their category. Synonymous with mixologists, and winner of multiple quality and brand awards, the company continues to grow and as a result, requires an established marketing professional to further drive success in the UK and key international markets.

The Role

Reporting to the Global Marketing Director, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in creating, developing and implementing exceptional marketing activity to ensure the brand continues to be a world leader in markets around the globe. Focusing on the UK and key International markets, their role will encompass working with the local market Distributors, activation agencies, PR agencies, and the global team to ensure full market saturation is achieved and key listings, volume and awareness targets are met.

STRATEGIZE AND IMPLEMENT

  • Can think and frame initiatives strategically / within a wider context vs randomly taking initiatives.
  • Will communicate clearly the intent and purpose.
  • A doer (strong drive) who makes things happen but also does with purpose: Initiatives are aligned with the Brand strategy and objectives, nothing is random or purely opportunistic, and everything we do fits into the plan

PASSION FOR EXECUTION

  • Vision without execution is hallucination: Will deliver through the line and make sure toolkits and initiatives are implemented in markets, and across channels.
  • Understands the role of each channel (On, Off, e-commerce, events etc.).

LEAD AND INSPIRE, AS A TEAM PLAYER

  • The role manages directly the daily relationship with our main domestic market and supports additional tier 1 markets. Building and nurturing these relationships is essential, as well as winning hearts and minds and being seen as reliable and a true team player by our distribution partners.
  • Excite, stimulate, and lead creative & production partners to extract the best of their creativity and strategic thinking.

AN EYE FOR DESIGN AND VISUAL IMPACT: CONSUMER TASTE WITH THEIR EYES

  • Best in class visual and design: Up our visual game/design capabilities.
  • Best in class POS.

FULLY LEVERAGE THE POTENTIAL OF DIGITAL

  • Modernize the Brand through digital: Use the digital ecosystem to build stronger awareness through visual appeal and creativity.
  • Develop a sustainable influencer strategy.
  • Develop strategies to stimulate and push user-generated content.
  • Maximize advocacy

EXPAND THE RANGE AND THE BRAND

  • Support the team on 2 innovation launches

Essential skills and experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of alcoholic beverages marketing experience.
  • Strong breadth across the marketing mix including brand, digital, experiential and commercial marketing
  • Strong strategic ability with people management skills
  • Based in or accessible to central London
  • Educated to degree level
